Academic Information
Auditing
A course may be audited by formally admitted students on a no-credit, space available basis. Students are charged full tuition for courses audited.
Degree Completion - May 2009
Students completing requirements in the Spring term must file a Degree Application Form no later than February 6, 2009. No student is considered a degree candidate until he/she files the Degree Application Form.

Plan of Study
All students are required to
complete a plan of study with their advisor's approval by

a flag will be placed on the student's record preventing registration
for the next term. Please refer to the current Catalog

Student Financial Services
Tuition and Fees
Spring 2009 course tuition will be $1255 per credit hour.
Total tuition is based on the number of credit hours for which a student is registered
as of the end of the third week of the term (Drop Deadline, February 3, 2009).
Tuition payment is due two weeks before classes begin, December 19, 2008 for Spring term. Tuition paid after this date will be subject to a late fee of $100 per course. A student who fails to pay by the Drop Deadline will have their registration cancelled. No credits or refunds will be issued for any courses dropped after the Drop Deadline.
Financial Responsibilities
Academic credit, degrees, grade reports, diplomas, and transcripts will not be granted to students who have not fulfilled all financial obligations to Rensselaer Hartford Campus. In addition, students who have not satisfied their financial obligations will be unable to register for future terms. Should a student fail to pay any amounts due Rensselaer Hartford Campus in accordance with the terms of the Catalog, Rensselaer may, at its option, increase the amounts due by any attorneys' fees, collection agency fees, or any other costs or charges incurred in the collection process.
Payment Options
Payments can be made in Hartford through Student Accounts located on Level 6 in Financial Services. Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For the convenience of our students, payments are also accepted at the Reception Desk located on Level 3. Extended hours at the Reception Desk are Monday through Thursdays 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Fridays 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other arrangements can also be made by contacting Student Accounts directly at (860) 548-2413.
Checks, Money Orders, and Travelers Checks should be made out to Rensselaer Hartford Campus. To expedite processing, please also include your RIN (Rensselaer Identification Number) and name on all forms of payment.
Credit Card Payments. Rensselaer Hartford Campus accepts Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Credit card payments can be made either on the Rensselaer Hartford Campus Web site or by contacting Student Accounts as indicated above.
Tuition Pay (AMS).
As an alternative to paying one lump sum at the beginning
of the term, Rensselaer Hartford Campus offers a monthly installment
plan. This plan is coordinated with Academic Management Services
(AMS). The plan permits tuition charges to be paid in four
interest-free installments over the course of the current
term. The only additional cost is an application fee of $35
per term. For more information on Tuition Pay through AMS,
please contact Student Accounts, or contact AMS directly at
(800) 635-0120 or visit their web site at www.tuitionpay.com
Employer Payments
- Direct Billing. Rensselaer Hartford Campus currently has contracts with several local employers to direct bill the company for tuition charges incurred on behalf of certain qualifying employees. If an employer authorizes direct billing by Rensselaer Hartford Campus, the appropriate authorization form/letter, or purchase order must be submitted to Student Accounts at the time of registration. If you have questions as to whether or not your employer has such an arrangement with Rensselaer Hartford Campus or as to the documentation required for such payments, please contact Student Accounts.
- Tuition Reimbursement. If an employer is supporting tuition costs by reimbursing an employee directly at the end of the term, this does not qualify a student for deferred payment. Students in this situation are considered to be self-paying, subject to the standard financial responsibilities and payment schedules outlined above.
Tuition Refunds
Students who withdraw from a course without registering
for another course prior to the Drop Deadline will receive a full tuition
refund. All other withdrawals after the Drop Deadline of February 3, 2009 will result in 100% forfeiture of tuition.
Please refer to the current Rensselaer Hartford Campus Catalog & Student Handbook for a complete description of policies and procedures.
Notice Regarding Changes
Rensselaer Hartford Campus reserves the right to change dates in the Academic Calendar, the course offerings, tuition, fees, rules governing admission, requirements for graduation and the granting of degrees, and any other regulations affecting its students. Such changes are to take effect whenever the administration deems necessary whether or not there is actual notice to individual students.
