Teaching interests: materials processing and properties, transport phenomena,
clean technologies, advanced mathematics for applications,
numerical computing, mathematical modeling and computer simulation
of deterministic and stochastic systems.
Research interests:
modeling and analysis of materials processing and
manufacturing systems; mathematical modeling and
computer simulation of free and moving boundary problems;
deterministic and stochastic simulation.
Professional experience includes work as research associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as guest researcher at the
Swedish Institute for Metals Research in Stockholm, Sweden and at
the Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Saltillo, Mexico.
Additional experience as research consultant
for global metals technology corporations.
